From what started as a simple trolling of humorless forum members has evolved into a network of likeminded fans who love to spread joy by means of jokes and parody. This is Faking Fandom Media.
Faking Fandom was founded by William “Willybobo” Bobo and Link Voximilian of Faking Star Wars after being banished from a popular Star Wars forum and building their own. The Faking Fandom Forum lasted about half a year but left the idea of making satire about all fandoms, not just Star Wars, in the minds of its creators. A few years had passed but Faking Fandom lived on as Willy and Link collaborated with many writers and podcasters which eventually culminated into the network you see before you. Our focus is to discourage gatekeeping, lore mongering, and fun sucking from the discourse in nerd culture fandom , instead to focus on laughing and not taking fictional universes too seriously. From Jedi to Superheroes, and everything in between.
